Antifouling Performance and Sustained Release Behavior of Ethanol Extract from the Root of Stellera chamaejasme

Antifouling substances play a crucial role in inhibiting fouling and adhesion due to their broad-spectrum non-toxic advantages. Nevertheless, the excessive release of antifouling agents shortens service life coating. In this study, we investigated performance an ethanol extract from root Stellera chamaejasme (Sc) through algal experiments. The interaction between Sc algae (Chlorella Dunaliella tertiolecta) was further studied by using UV spectrophotometer. Then, encapsulated with polydopamine (PDA) microcapsules prepare Sc@SiO2@PDA template method. behavior under different pH conditions investigated. result demonstrates that belongs single static quenching, exhibit good against Chlorella tertiolecta. This work will provide guiding significance for development eco-friendly marine coatings.
